Meg Lamont is an artist and illustrator inspired by natural history, folk art, scientific illustration, and whimsical design. She seeks to depict natural curiosities with decorative painting and collage techniques.  Meg earned a BFA in Visual Art from West Virginia University in 2008. Her work at a variety of non-profit arts organizations has led to a strong commitment to art education and the creative process. She taught private art lessons and led children’s art classes in a variety of public and private settings. From 2011 through 2016 she co-owned print studio Elm Leaf Design, which blended art, design, and craft to create fully customized, artfully-sound paper goods. Meg’s paintings and collages have been featured at several galleries and establishments. Her illustrations can also be found on tee-shirts, album covers, posters, signs, and cards. Meg and her husband Sam recently moved to a farmette in Southern New Jersey where they enjoy raising chickens, goats, a sweet old donkey, and their three young children. One of the perks of the move was a designated art space— the farm’s old milk house. Meg looks forward to devoting more time to art and making via “The Milkhouse Makery” in the coming years.
